HOW IT ALL STARTED

I’m Amy. I love coffee, and walking, and leaving the door open all summer long (which isn’t that long, because I live in Montana) and building stuff. I started my first business in 2009, designing wedding invitations. It grew to include other wedding stationery, then wedding adjacent events. Since then, I have created pieces for school fundraisers and auctions, helped small businesses and non-profits with event and fundraising stationery, brochures and flyers, signage, business cards and catalogs. I’ve also designed printed materials for a few political campaigns.

Before that, I started out by getting a job at a print shop in college. I wanted that job because I love office supplies (I still do), but what I learned working there went far beyond pens and paper. I started working with people to create wedding and party invitations, resumes and business cards, programs and presentations. That was over 15 years ago.

Over the years, after working with hundreds of people, I have learned:
• How much impact a well designed project can have.
• That the most important element of the design process is collaboration
• That what results from working together is more than a logo, or a brochure, or a flyer; it's the physical manifestation of your ideas.

I still make wedding invitations, because it’s fun. But I do a lot more now too, and I hope that everything I make has a positive impact on the businesses, and the people, that they are for.
